Welcome to Europa! Europa 2026!

From 19 February to 19 March, we're bringing 43 films from 22 countries representing the finest filmmaking talent of a diverse continent to screens in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Hobart and Auckland.

This year's program features fresh new voices in cinema alongside modern masters like Albert Serra, Lav Diaz and Agnieszka Holland, with festival highlights including Opening Night film The Testament of Ann Lee, award-winning animation Arco, and new biopics of Chopin, Vivaldi and Kafka.

Plus, a pair of retrospective strands spotlight the work of two giants of European cinema, Michelangelo Antonioni and Éric Rohmer.
